Vista Chamber of Commerce Presents Vista’s Fiestas Patrias: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage

Vista, CA – September 4, 2024 – The Vista Chamber of Commerce’s Latino Outreach Committee is thrilled to announce its upcoming Vista’s Fiestas Patrias celebration, an event dedicated to honoring Hispanic heritage and commemorating Mexico’s Independence Day. The event will take place on September 15, 2024, at 1234 N Santa Fe Ave., from 12:00 – 4:00pm.

This year’s celebration will be a vibrant display of cultural pride, featuring live music, traditional dance performances, delicious food from local vendors, and family-friendly activities. In a special highlight of the evening, the Mexican Consulate in San Diego has been invited to perform the ceremonial “Grito de Dolores,” the traditional call to independence that marks the beginning of Mexico’s fight for independence in 1810.

Zeke Corley, Chairman of the Vista Chamber Board of Directors said “I am thrilled to be part of our first annual Vista’s Fiestas Patrias event. The event promises to be a meaningful and joyous occasion for the Vista community, celebrating the rich cultural diversity that strengthens and enriches our city. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Hispanic culture, connect with
community members, and learn more about the history and significance of Mexico’s Independence
Day.
