Vista Community Clinic (VCC) is honored to have been selected as a recipient of the 2022 Live Well San Diego 21st Annual Public Health Champion Award. VCC was recognized for its efforts to lessen the negative patient outcomes of COVID-19 within our community. During this time, VCC’s efforts were focused on preventing widening racial health gaps by expanding telehealth visits, after-hours care, and access to resources.
The first week of April is observed as National Public Health Week (NPHW) by the American Public Health Association (APHA). The theme for this year was

“Public Health Is Where You Are,”

celebrating the positive impact of working together for a healthier community. During NPHW San Diego County recognizes organizations that have shown extraordinary achievements in promoting and working towards the public health of our communities.
VCC’s focus will remain on increasing positive patient outcomes by expanding senior care and promoting preventative care. This patient-centered approach coincides with VCC’s mission of Valuable Connected Care: Meeting the health and wellness needs of the community.
