The “All of Us” Research Program, run by the National Institute of Health, is on a mission “to speed up health research and medical breakthroughs.” To accomplish this, they are asking at least one million people to confidentially share their health information with them. The information will allow them to build a health database that health experts and researchers can use to come up with breakthroughs in medicine with “treatments that are unique to individuals,” says the research group. Gathering real-life information will allow them to accurately look at all of the factors that can affect one’s health: environment, genetics, and lifestyle, and come up with the proper steps to improve health all over.

The research program is taking it one step further by traveling around the country with their mobile exhibit bus to help communities learn all about what they are trying to do. And on March 17th, they’re coming to North County. From 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, the exhibit will be at VCC: Vale Terrace, 1000 Vale Terrace Dr., in Vista. The large unit can’t be missed with its commanding size, colorful exterior, and interactive features. From young to old, there will be something for everyone to have fun learning about.
