On Tuesday night, Sept 10, 2019, the Vista City Council discussed the Project Labor Agreement and considered adoption of a resolution offered by Deputy Mayor Franklin and Councilmember Joe Green,City Council Resolution No.2019 opposing Vista Unified School District requiring businesses to sign a Project Labor Agreement with labor unions as a condition of working on construction contracts.
Fourteen speakers addressed the Council on their opinion on this subject and then each Councilmember expressed their views and a vote was taken. Franklin, Green and Ritter voted for the adoption of the resolution and Rigby and Contreras voted against it.
