Vista Elks Club Gives to Operation Hope North County

The Vista Elks is a fraternal order of men and women with a generous charitable foundation that each year gives scholarships, an inspiration to youth, a friend to veterans and more. This year they gave to a local homeless shelter, Operation Hope North County, located at 895 E. Vista Way, Vista, CA.

On Saturday, Nov 28, 2020, they were presented with a check for $3,500, representing the Elks contribution to Operation Hope North County this year. Currently the home is occupied by nine families and four single women. Throughout the year the Elks club has shared meals, mattresses and picnic tables and provided necessities.

Cindy Taylor, President of Operation Hope said, “The contributions of the Elks club helps maintain all our needs. With the help of our case managers, the dedicated staff, the volunteers and the Vista Elks community, we will make it happen together. Thank you for your generosity and being here. We especially want to thank Gary Van Nevel, Treasurer of the Elks Club. We are very blessed.”
