Tuesday, Jan 12, 2021, The Vista Elks Lodge #1968, dedicated their newly completed covered patio to Lodge member Jerry Beasley, accompanied by his wife Pat. This very special dedication ceremony christened the new space as, ‘The Jerald W. Beasley Patio Pavilion’. Jerry has been a Lodge member for 20 years as an Officer, Veteran’s Committee Chair, Lodge Vocalist, and he has volunteered at the VA for many years, and is well respected by all Lodge members.
The patio dedication took place at 12-noon with family, friends and lodge members beginning with an opening prayer by Champlain Slottje, followed by the National Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance. David Workman- President and Grand Exalted Ruler, recognized Honored guests, John Harry and First Lady Dee and the patio construction tradesmen, with renovation committee Chair – Jerry Perrault. The Beasley and D’Agostini families were well represented with all their children too enjoying Grandpa Beasley’s special day.
ER David Workman also read a Letter of Appreciation from Mayor Judy Ritter, longtime Vista Elks Member, on behalf of the City of Vista to Jerry Beasley. The Vista Elks Lodge also presented Jerry with a plaque from Lodge #1968.
Many family and friends then took turns thanking Jerry for his friendship and service over the last 20 years. He also thanked all of them for the beautiful plaques that were presented to him and the new patio pavilion that is named in his honor for everyone to enjoy for many years to come. Chaplain Slottje then read the Benediction and everyone enjoyed a lunch under the new patio and beautiful grounds.
