The Vista Fire Department is excited to announce its Fire Apparatus Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, June 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Vista Civic Center, located at 200 Civic Center Drive. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place promptly at 4:15 p.m. and involve members of the Vista City Council, the Vista Fire Department, and City of Vista staff.
This event invites the public to get an up-close look at the Department’s new emergency services vehicles. It is a free community event welcoming all ages and will feature food, drinks, and numerous community booths. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the dedicated Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMT teams who serve Vista and learn about the significant investments the City has made to enhance public safety.
The new fire apparatus on display includes:
– Four new fire engines designed for structural firefighting and paramedic response
– One new fire engine specifically for combatting small fires and fire mop-ups
– One new engine tailored for fighting wildland fires
– A new state-of-the-art paramedic ambulance
Participating vendors and community organizations include Archer’s Arrow Coffee House, Best Pizza & Brew, Chick-Fil-A, the City of Vista, EDCO, Vista Fire Prevention Bureau, Frida’s Tacos, Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt, the Vista Historical Society, Kaiser Permanente, LA Fitness, Las Valientes, La Taqueria Jalisco, Mama ‘n Papa’s Pizza Grotto, Raising Cane’s, the Vista Sheriff’s Office, Sprouts Farmers Market, Tideline Partners, TIP San Diego, Vista CERT, the Vista Fire Department, the Vista Library, and West Coast Arborists.
