Elected to the Hall of Fame in 2022 were: Carl Thomas “Slick” Davis, Sandi Graham Norm Halus, John and Carol Herrera, Adele Larimer, Dr. J.C. Stadden, and Epi and Virginia Tapia.
The Vista Historical Society Annual Meeting and Hall of Fame induction will be held at the Shadowridge Country Club at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Members of the Board of Directors will be installed and 2022 Vista Hall of Fame members will be honored.
Carl Thomas “Slick” Davis, a local store owner, is a legendary owner and or supporter of little league, pony league and fast pitch softball teams.
Sandi Graham was raised in Vista. She is known as a volunteer for many organizations including the Moonlight Angels, the Vista Senior Center, the Vista Historical Society and others.
Norm Halus retired to Vista in 1989 and since then has volunteered for private organizations and on various City commissions for the last 30 years.
John and Carol Herrera have together and separately have volunteered for many organizations; Carol is immersed in education as a teacher and serving on the Vista School Board for 16 years.
Adele Larimer, a Vista resident for 60 years, volunteered at several organizations including Tri City Hospital, where she volunteered for about 40 years.
Dr. John Stadden was the founding President of Vista Rotary. He was a physician and surgeon here for 20 years as well as a hotel owner.
Epi and Virginia Tapia are long time Vista residents and they volunteer for many Vista events and professional organizations.
The annual meeting is open to Vista Historical Society & Museum members and all interested area residents.
