Vista Senior Center Provides Essential Service

VISTA, CA – The City of Vista’s Gloria McClellan Center (GMAC) is offering essential services to seniors during the unprecedented shutdown of normal activities during the COVID-19 crisis. Essential services include, home-delivered or to-go lunch and dinner meals, basic groceries with food from the San Diego Food Bank, and transportation services for essential errands to the grocery or medical appointments, and wellness calls for isolated seniors. Meal services and well nesscalls are provided at no charge to seniors.

“The City’s staff is working hard to fulfill the agency’s mission of fostering healthy, independent aging during this emergency,” saidDonna Meester, Senior Center Manager. “GMAC is committed to helping the seniors we serve navigate these challenging circumstances. Their health and safety – and the health and safety of our team members and volunteers – are our top priority.”
