A door with a lock, a bathroom, and a soft, warm bed are three simple luxuries residents here at Santa Fe Senior Village are thankful for every day. Since moving into their new permanent supportive housing in Vista, these low-income older adults have found independence and happiness again.

Many of the residents here were homeless or at risk of being homeless, forced out of their homes by rising costs, health issues or the death of a loved one. Santa Fe Senior Villages has changed all that… and given them their lives back.

The County provided $9.3 million in funding for Santa Fe Senior Village and 53 Project-Based Housing Choice Vouchers for long term housing stability. County Behavioral Health teams provide support services including case management and care coordination.

This advocacy for one of our most vulnerable populations is changing lives.
