Vista Structure Fire December 23

Vista Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a reported structure fire on December 23, 2018 at 12:27 pm. The first firefighters on scene found an work shop on fire. The firefighters had the fire controlled by 12:55pm and were able to contain the fire to the building of origin. The contents on the work shop were destroyed or damaged and included boats, recreation vehicles, and other vehicles.
Fire personnel remained on scene for 5 hours making sure the fire was extinguished and investigating the cause of the fire. According to Vista Fire Department investigator Mike McFadden the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
18 firefighters were on scene to extinguish the fire and Vista Fire Department personnel were assisted by San Marcos and North County firefighters. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
