On November 20, 2019, the Vista Unified School District Board of Trustees, held their scheduled November meeting. They were tasked with reducing the budget by $13.3 million dollars. One of the budget cuts was to eliminate the School Resource Officers (SRO’s)at several schools. At tonight’s meeting, December 12, 2019, parents, students, teachers and residents of Vista, attended this meeting to show their disagreement of that decision. The following video will give you insight of their concerns. The topic of re-instating the SRO’s was not on tonights’ Board meeting agenda. However, students, teachers and parents will make public comments to the Board hoping to have it put back on the agenda for reconsideration.
