Debbie Medrano, Founder of Vista Teen Outreach, spoke with the North County Daily Star about the current challenges in feeding 200 families a week. There are many students in the Vista Unified School District who are hungry, homeless or both, VTO provides easy access on campus food pantries filled with food to any student in need.

Vista Teen Outreach (VTO) wants to continue to ensure that no student in our community is going hungry, even while schools remain closed. To do so, we have committed to providing the school district with 200 supplemental food bags that will be distributed to families on a weekly basis.

Increased costs will deplete our yearly budget and reserves. We are humbly asking for donations to help us continue to do our important work.

We understand that this is a difficult time for many families, so do not feel pressured, but if everyone pitches in just a little we can make sure that our community continues to thrive! With just $15 we can help provide food for one family for one week. We couldn’t do it without you! Thank you.
