Vista Unified School District Presents Secondary Art Show

ARTS UNDER THE STARS

Wednesday, April 5 through Thursday, April 27, 2023

The VUSD “Arts Under the Stars” art show celebrates secondary-level student artistic achievement from the 2022-2023 school year. Fine art media, photography and sculptural pieces will be on display representing over 7 high schools and middle schools in Vista. The “Arts Under the Stars” show will be juried under 8 categories: “Mayor’s Award,” “City Council Award,” “Superintendent’s Award,” “Principal’s Award,” “Best in Show,” “Best Artistry,” “Best Originality,” and “Best 3D.”

A free, open to the public opening reception and awards ceremony will take place April 5th in the Civic Center Art Gallery from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm honoring recognized student pieces.

Location
The Civic Gallery is in the Vista Civic Center, located at 200 Civic Center Drive, on the second floor. The gallery is open during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5:30 pm and every other Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. There is no admission charge.

Applications
The City welcomes submissions from artists who wish to exhibit their art in the gallery. Complete an application.
