Vista’s Citywide Treasure Hunt $1,500 in Prizes and Giveaways

The Vista GooseChase, a free citywide treasure hunt, runs from Saturday, April 17 through Sunday, April 25 offering players more than $1,500 in prizes and giveaways.

Like a traditional treasure hunt, players are given clues using a mobile app to complete simple “missions” around Vista. Players earn entries into a variety of prize drawings for each mission they complete. The more missions completed equals more chances to win one of dozens of prizes:

• Grand prize drawings for 12 Vista Bucks gift cards ranging from $50 to $200 redeemable at many Vista restaurants, breweries and retailers.
• Special drawings for gift baskets, store gift cards and even designer face masks.
• Grab the Badge drawing celebrating Vista’s craft beverages industries. Players who gather all five badges honoring Vista’s craft beer, wine, spirits, kombucha and coffee companies will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card.

The goal is to ensure all players have a good chance of winning a prize. The app records completion of each mission so players are automatically entered into various contests.

The Vista GooseChase also features several opportunities for giveaways, including:

• Yelp-sponsored “Free Perks Day” Friday, April 23 during which a select group of eating establishments and merchants will be handing out surprise gifts to players who stop in.
• Collectible stickers illustrating the five craft beverage industries.
• Exclusive “film-friendly” keychain from The Film Hub.
• “Love Vista” stickers at the Vista Chamber of Commerce

The Vista GooseChase is sponsored by the City of Vista and the Vista Chamber of Commerce. Players and Vista businesses interested in participating can learn more at VistaGooseChase.com.

The program is free for both players and Vista businesses.
