Answer: This two-story building was built in 1927 in the 500 block of South Santa Fe Avenue at the corner of Terrace Drive and South Santa Fe Avenue. It was known as the Granada Building. Its principal tenant from 1929 to 1958 was the Sexsmith Market owned by George and Emily
Sexsmith. The major tenant on the second floor for a while was the Grange Hall as well as some apartments.
When the couple retired in 1958, the market was closed and the building renamed and renovated. It was then called The Terrace Building. Later the building fell on hard times becoming the center of a fencing operation and prostitution. The building was demolished in 1994 and this is that corner today.
