“When pigs fly BBQ” Opens In Historic Vista

As a winter storm hits Historic Vista, the doors opened to “when pigs fly BBQ” at 230 Main Street, Vista, CA. The cooking smell of the brisket and ribs was incredible. Another restaurant destination is added to the Historic vibe.

Everything at “when pigs fly BBQ” is made in-house. Not just the barbecued meats, but the sauces, rubs, all of the sides, coleslaw, potato salad, BBQ beans, macaroni salad, smoked corn, pasta salad, all dressings for the sides and all desserts – everything they offer.

One of their award winning dessert items is their famous Smoked Peach Cobbler.

Award Winning Owners, Dale and Tammy Ginos, entered their first BBQ competition in 2006 and operated their BBQ restaurant located inside the Chevron Station at Foothill and E. Vista Way since 2014. “when pigs fly BBQ” was the 1st winner of the Golden Fork Award at the Taste of Vista in 2016. It has been 367 days since they received the keys to their newest location. A lot of planning, work, re-planning and more work has happened since that day. Congratulations and Thank You for giving North County residents another reason to visit Historic Vista.
