Who Will Win 49th Congressional District, Maryott vs Levin Election 2020

California’s 49th Congressional district.
The district currently covers the northern coastal areas of San Diego County, including Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, and Encinitas, as well as a portion of southern Orange County, including San Clemente, Dana Point, San Juan Capistrano, Ladera Ranch, and Coto de Caza. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is also in the district. Democrat Mike Levin is the district’s current congressman. He is running for re-election and he is opposed by Brian Maryott. NC Daily Star interviewed the candidates.

Brian Maryott

Brian is a conservative businessman, elected leader and father who is running for Congress to restore common-sense representation to the 49th Congressional district. As a local elected official and former executive, Brian has proven he can work with anyone who has good ideas – he will bring that exact same approach to Congress.

Brian is a Certified Financial Planner – he spent the majority of his career helping hundreds of individuals and families save for a rainy day, send their kids to college, retire with dignity and invest in their future. He steadily grew his planning business and was eventually promoted to Senior Vice President of his company where he helped manage hundreds of employees and billions in client assets.

As our national debt continues to grow, Brian’s financial background and commitment to sound growth and fiscal stewardship is needed in Congress now more than ever.

Brian learned about hard work and responsibility at an early age. He shoveled dog waste as a kennel attendant at 15, worked as a dishwasher and busboy in a restaurant chain – became a cook, server and ultimately an assistant manager while he worked full time to pay his way through college. He even did a stint on an overnight janitorial crew to keep his student loans to a manageable level.

Brian and his wife Michele have been living their version of the American Dream in southern California for over 25 years. They live in San Juan Capistrano with their three wonderful children. For more information go to: https://maryottforcongress.com/
