SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Cal State San Marcos women’s basketball team moved up to No. 12 in the D2SIDA Top 25 National Media Poll and finally broke into the WBCA Top 25 Coaches Poll at No. 24 this week.
The Cougars are in the midst of their longest win streak in program history with 13 consecutive victories with only four games remaining in the regular season. With a 15-1 conference record, CSUSM is on top of the CCAA standings with a .938 win percentage, just .09 more than second-place Cal State East Bay (13-1). The Cougars have clinched their third consecutive berth in the CCAA Tournament which will take place at Cal Poly Humboldt on March 3-5 in Arcata.
The No. 24/12 Cougars will close out their home schedule this week, hosting Stanislaus State on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before welcoming Chico State to The Sports Center on Saturday at 1 p.m.
