The Vista Chamber of Commerce will host one of the most important civic gatherings of the year: Vista’s State of the Community on Jan. 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Morris B. Vance Community Room, 200 Civic Center Dr. This annual event is not just a presentation; it is an invitation for residents, business owners, and civic leaders to come together, connect, and engage in meaningful conversation about Vista’s future.
The State of the Community offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from Vista’s leadership about where we are today and where we are headed, including a keynote address from Vista Mayor John Franklin. From economic development and housing to public safety, infrastructure, and education, the discussion will focus on the priorities shaping our city and the collaborative efforts driving progress.
Others scheduled to speak include Vista Unified School District Superintendent Matt Doyle and Joe Henschel, the chamber’s chairman and owner of The Steeping Giant. (A fourth speaker will be announced at a later date.)
What makes this event especially valuable is who will be in the room. Community, civic, and business leaders from across Vista and the region will be in attendance, creating a space for connection, dialogue, and partnership. In addition to the program, attendees will enjoy dedicated networking time and a plated lunch, because some of the most impactful ideas and relationships begin with a conversation.
For businesses and organizations, the State of the Community is also a chance to demonstrate commitment to Vista’s success. Sponsorship opportunities are available for those who want to elevate their visibility while supporting a meaningful community event.

At the Vista Chamber, we believe strong communities are built when people show up, stay informed, and work together. The State of the Community is a moment to do just that,to listen, ask questions, and be part of shaping what comes next for Vista.
I encourage anyone who cares about the future of our city to attend. Whether you are a longtime business owner, a nonprofit partner, an emerging leader, or a resident who simply wants to be engaged, your presence matters.
