OCEANSIDE, CA — On April 26, 2026, at approximately 10:57 a.m., Oceanside Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of westbound State Route 76 near Singh Way regarding a report of a non-breathing individual.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male on the shoulder of the roadway. Personnel from North County Fire responded and pronounced the individual dead at approximately 11:05 a.m.
The victim has been identified as Aaron Lee Keith (DOB: 05/14/2001). The investigation has since determined the incident to be a fatal hit-and-run collision. Based on preliminary findings, the collision is believed to have occurred between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on April 26, 2026.
At this time, there is no suspect or vehicle description available. The Oceanside Police Department Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident in coordination with the Medical Examiner’s Office.
