Cox Communications Grants $100,000 to TERI

SAN DIEGO, CA – April 27, 2026 – Cox Communications today announced a $100,000 grant to TERI (Training Education & Resource Institute) to accelerate the completion of the TERI Campus of Life in San Marcos.

When complete, the campus will house all TERI facilities, including Dr. Bronner’s Country Day School, The Learning Academy, the Technology Center, the Center of Innovation & Bornemann Child Development Center, the “Fit for Life” Sports, Fitness & Aquatics Complex, the Scott P.L. Gardener Sensory Garden, and the Merriam House Museum. This consolidation will also enable the organization to bring students from Oceanside to its primary 20-acre campus in San Marcos, supporting lifelong learning in a single centralized location.

Currently, the campus has seven buildings operating and serving students, including the Harriet E. Pfleger Equestrian Center, the Tom and Mary Tomlinson Vocational Center, a regenerative farm, the “Fit for Life” Outdoor Fitness Court, the Walter J. and Betty C. Zable Foundation Performing Arts Center including the Bornemann Theater, and Central Park.

This milestone brings us closer to expanding access to TERI’s programs and services, which deliver transformative outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”

Every donation to TERI’s capital campaign will help secure $15 million, which can be paired with a $15 million tax-exempt bond, enabling the organization to finalize construction of the campus.
