Beginning in early January through March 2019, motorists can expect intermittent singling and double lane closures along both westbound and eastbound San Marcos Boulevard from Business Park Drive to Acacia Drive.
To limit the impact to peak commuting hours, most construction activities will take place overnight on Sundays through Thursdays from 8 pm to 6 am. Daytime work will be restricted to single-lane closures Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Crews will be completing significant street improvements needed to accommodate the Skyline Town Homes project. The roadway enhancements will include the installation of a new signalized intersection, modification of the center median to accommodate a left turn lane, refreshed landscaping, and a new storm drain.
Residents and businesses directly affected by the work will receive advanced notice by the developer.
Delays in the schedule may occur due to inclement weather and other unforeseen construction obstructions.
While every effort has been made to minimize impacts to traffic during peak commute times, traffic delays are anticipated. Standard traffic control measures with advanced warning signs and pedestrian detours will be in place.
Motorists are urged to follow all traffic control measures, plan for extra time to arrive at destinations on time and drive with caution through the work area.
For more information about the work, contact D.R. Horton Construction Manager, Maile Macabio at (951)442-8987.
