The City of Carlsbad is making it easier for residents to move through the city. The semiannual transportation report presented at the July 27 City Council meeting offered an overview of the current and upcoming work that’s taking place to address traffic and mobility in Carlsbad.
Recently completed or projects under construction to improve mobility and traffic flow in Carlsbad include:
Poinsettia Lane missing link opening
Palomar Airport Road and Paseo Del Norte improvements to ease congestion
Traffic calming measures, including the installation of speed humps, curb extensions and traffic circles in neighborhoods
Adoption of the city’s Sustainable Mobility Plan to create safe, convenient mobility options
Launch of the Carlsbad Commuter program
