The Governing Board of the San Marcos Unified School District is looking for volunteers to serve on the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). The purpose of the CBOC is to inform the public concerning the expenditure of Measure JJ bond funds.
SMUSD is looking for community members to serve on a two-year term for this Committee, applications are open now. SMUSD invites the community to review the committee bylaws for information about the committee’s role and responsibilities, found here.
The Committee must consist of at least 7 members appointed by the Board, and must include:
1 member active in a business organization representing the business community
1 member active in a senior citizens’ organization
1 member active in a taxpayers’ association
1 member shall be a parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District
1 member shall be a parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District and active in a a parent-teacher organization
