Every year, before, during and after the rainy season, County teams inspect, clear and maintain thousands of drainage culverts in the unincorporated area. With a strong El Nino season predicted shortly, this work becomes even more important.
Currently, the County is investing $4.5 million to replace 53 culverts as part of 90 miles of its road resurfacing program. County road crews also perform routine street sweeping, tree trimming, and repair potholes.

To keep you safe and mobile, County Public Works currently manages:
Over 39,000 traffic signs
19,000 culverts
2,000 miles of roadway
Over 1,200 miles of bike lanes
Over 500 miles of sidewalks
223 traffic signals
