A suspected impaired driver has been arrested after crashing through a median fence and colliding into another car in Vista.
It happened on Monday, April 17 just after 2:30 p.m. near N. Santa Fe Avenue and Vista Village Drive.
A deputy from the Vista Sheriff’s Station was patrolling the area when he saw a blue Audi, driven by Saul Celerino Villanueva Delgado (DOB: 8/4/1989), driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed. As the deputy tried to catch up to the Audi, Villanueva made an illegal U-turn and ran the red light at N. Santa Fe Avenue and E. California Avenue. Villanueva then lost control of his car, crashing through the median fence before colliding with a Nissan SUV.
Deputies quickly came to the aid of the two occupants inside of the SUV, as well as Villanueva. One of the individuals in the SUV was transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Villanueva was the only person in the Audi. He was also taken to the hospital and placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

Arresto por DUI – Vista
Conductor se estrella a través de la cerca, golpeando un coche.
Un presunto conductor ebrio ha sido arrestado después de atravesar una cerca mediana y chocar contra otro automóvil en Vista.
Ocurrió el lunes 17 de Abril pasadas las 2:30 p.m. cerca de N. Santa Fe Avenue y Vista Village Drive.
Un oficial del Vista Sheriff’s Station estaba patrullando el área cuando vio un Audi azul, conducido por Saúl Celerino Villanueva Delgado (fecha de nacimiento: 8/4/1989), conduciendo imprudentemente ya una alta velocidad. Cuando el oficial trató de alcanzar al Audi, Villanueva hizo un giro en U ilegal y pasó la luz roja en N. Santa Fe Avenue y E. California Avenue. Luego, Villanueva perdió el control de su automóvil y atravesó la cerca mediana antes de chocar con una todoterreno Nissan.
Los oficiales acudieron rápidamente en ayuda de los dos ocupantes dentro de el todoterreno, asà como de Villanueva. Uno de los individuos en el todoterreno fue transportado al hospital para su evaluación.
Villanueva era la única persona en el Audi. También fue llevado al hospital y puesto bajo arresto por conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol.
