An enthusiastic crowd gathered at Frida’s Taqueria on Friday around noon to take part in the Vista Chamber of Commerce Red Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and to welcome them to the Vista business community. Owners Grace and Roberto Ayala greeted friends, dignitaries, and guests, welcoming them to Vista’s newest eatery. At noon, Chamber CEO Rachel Beld and Chamber Director of First Impressions Kent Leithold gathered everyone together in front of the entrance to Frida’s to begin the ceremony. Rachel welcomed Grace and Roberto to both Vista and the Chamber, then she introduced representatives from national, state and local offices, each presenting Grace and Roberto with Certificates welcoming them to Vista and the business community.
The crowd was then organized in front of the entrance to take part in pictures and the Red Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. After the ribbon cutting a mariachi band broke out with festive numbers. Also on hand was DJ Del Condado Norte from North County Latin DJ’s to provide more music. Fully open for business, those in attendance lined up to purchase various food items from Frida’s menu.
The popular Frida’s Taqueria is located in the South Santa Fe Mercado strip mall taking over the former home of the Sunrise Café and the Madera Kitchen of Mexico locations. O’Reilly Auto Parts is at one end of the strip mall and Frida’s is at the other end. Stop in to try their delicious tacos, huge burritos, and massive Carne Asada Fries. You will not be disappointed.
