Today I am excited to officially announce my campaign for Mayor of Vista in 2026.
Vista has given so much to my family. I grew up here, built my business here, raised my family here, and for the past eight years I have had the honor of serving you on the City Council. I am running for Mayor for a simple reason: to keep Vista moving in the right direction and make sure the city we love remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Throughout my time in public service, I have worked with people across the political spectrum to solve problems and deliver real results. I am proud to begin this campaign with support from respected community leaders and residents from different backgrounds and viewpoints who all share the same goal: a safe, well run, and welcoming Vista.
I am not registered with any political party, and that is intentional. City government should never be about party labels. It should be about fixing roads, keeping neighborhoods safe, supporting local businesses, and making responsible decisions for our community. As Mayor, I will remain an independent voice who answers only to the people of Vista.
My priorities are clear:
Safe neighborhoods
Public safety will always come first. I will continue supporting our Sheriff’s Department and Fire Department, expand community based prevention programs, and strengthen partnerships that address mental health and youth services before problems grow.
Reliable infrastructure
We must maintain our roads, drainage, and utilities while planning responsibly for growth. I will continue advancing infrastructure projects and securing outside funding so Vista keeps up with our future.
Strong local economy
I will streamline permitting, support small businesses, and attract quality employers so residents have good jobs close to home while preserving Vista’s character.
Community and quality of life
I will invest in parks, recreation, and partnerships with our schools so Vista remains a place where families feel connected and proud to live.
Practical housing solutions
With my background in real estate, I support balanced development that provides workforce housing while protecting neighborhoods and open space.
Transparency matters to me. That is why I will be sharing regular weekly video updates covering public safety, business development, and infrastructure so residents always know what is happening in their city and why decisions are being made. I have included one of my recent roundabout update videos below, which many residents have found helpful.
Above all, I will lead with transparency, collaboration, and optimism. My commitment is simple: listen first, work with everyone, and put the people of Vista ahead of politics every single time.
