Oceanside, CA – May 8, 2026 — MainStreet Oceanside is proud to announce the return of the Oceanside Independence Parade on Saturday, June 27, 2026. As part of the nationwide Celebrating America 250 festivities, this year’s event marks a historic milestone for the city, blending a tradition that dates back to 1892 with a grand-scale tribute to the nation’s semiquincentennial.
The parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Coast Highway and Wisconsin Avenue, traveling north to Civic Center Drive. This year’s procession is expected to be the most expansive in the event’s history, featuring world-class floats, marching bands, and local organizations representing the diverse fabric of the Oceanside community.
“The 2026 parade is a monumental occasion for us,” said Angie Leonard, CEO of MainStreet Oceanside. “While we celebrate 250 years of the United States, we are also celebrating the specific heroes who make Oceanside a vibrant place to live. From our banner program to our local nominees, this year is about honoring the past while investing in our community’s future.”
