RESULTS MATTER:
Student Laptracker application shows the YTD progress after each scan.
Program volunteers, students, or teachers can now use the FREE Student Laptracker application with any Smartphone or Classroom IPAD.
You do not need Wi Fi for you to scan on the playground and then upload when you get to a computer with Wi FI
STEPS to get your program up and running !!
Step1: Confirm with teachers parents and students they would like to have a running program with free incentives and mileage certificates. Can be done before, after or during school
Step 2: Email us a info@moveyourfeetfoundation.org and let us know you are ready to go.
Step 3:We will give you the contact for the mileage tracking online tracking program. An district representative will need to send the students names, grade and teachers who plan participate in the Free Miles of Smiles program to Matthew Marksburg the representative with “Student Laptacker”
Download the student laptracker application on to 1 or multiple ipads or smartphones for whomever is helping to scan.
Step 4. Measure a route at the school that the students have access to daily. Put that distance into the account. We can measure the route if you need it. We recommend asphalt or concrete course if you don’t have a track.
Step 5. Start the students, teachers and staff doing their daily mileage and record it.
Step 6. Give out toe tokens once a month or frequently to participants. We will provide tokens free. Teachers recommend every 3 miles or so depending on age of the student.
Step 7. Post results up on the Miles of Smiles Bulletin Boards, Optional. Reports can be printed so that the students name is anonymous and it can still track the class mileage as a whole.
Frequently asked questions.
The simple Laptracker program measures the students mileage and quantifies it on fabulous reports and downloadable Certificates for each student, teacher, class or grade. REALLY EASY.
We recommend 3 teachers or parents to run the before school, lunch, in-class or after-school program. If you have an ipad, cell phone or scanner and student id cards you are ready to go.
You scan their id card daily with ipad or smartphone.
It counts the laps and prepares the reports.
Tips:
For ease of use, we recommend mounting copies of the library/id card in numeric order on a poster board so that a volunteer student or adult can scan when the student calls out the last few digits of their ID Number and they can continue running.
FYI –
The Student Laptracker company will coordinate with the district the student id info and maintain their privacy.
