The recent Fall Fun Festival at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens welcomed 900 visitors. 47 volunteers from Vista High School helped with activities and worked with families at the event.
Farmer (Nancy B) Jones from AVBG recognized volunteers at school with thank-you certificates. Character Leaders have volunteered since the very first Festival in 2009!
Students who are Character Leaders at Vista High with David Hanlon provided a Kindness Rocks activity at the Fall Fun Festival, making the event a success for lots of happy families.
Character Leaders dedicate themselves to their motto:
“We aim to change ourselves, our campus, community, nation and world by living the Six Pillars of Character in all that we say and do!”
Respect, Trustworthiness, Caring, Responsibility, Fairness and Citizenship are the Pillars of Character that students follow as they devote time to service learning.
These student volunteers make a big difference in successful AVBG events.
