The Vote Show is a community art exhibition celebrating voting, democracy, civic participation, and the power of creative expression.
Artists are invited to submit original, pro-voting and pro-democracy themed artwork for this one-day exhibition. Through art, we hope to inspire participation, conversation, and a celebration of our collective voice.
ARTIST INFORMATION
Exhibition: October 10, 3:00–8:00 PM
Artwork Drop-Off: October 10, 12:30–1:30 PM
People’s Choice Voting: 3:00–7:00 PM
Awards Announced: 8:00 PM
Artwork Pick-Up: Following the awards; all artwork must be removed by 8:30 PM.
Artists are responsible for delivering, hanging, removing, and picking up their own artwork on October 10. Please make sure all work arrives ready to hang or display.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS
There is no juror for The Vote Show—the community decides!
Guests attending Rocking Out the Vote will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artwork between 3:00 and 7:00 PM.
All proceeds from artist submission fees will go directly back to participating artists as prize money:
🥇 First Place — 50% of the prize pool
🥈 Second Place — 30% of the prize pool
🥉 Third Place — 20% of the prize pool
Winners will be announced at 8:00 PM.
THEME
We encourage artists to creatively interpret what voting and democracy mean to them.
Artwork may explore themes such as voting, civic participation, representation, community voice, equality, freedom, democracy, collective action, or the importance of making your voice heard.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Participation in the exhibition is at the artist’s own risk. Artists are responsible for the installation, security, removal, and timely pick-up of their artwork.
Vista Art Foundation and Aztec Brewing Company are not responsible for artwork that is lost, stolen, damaged, or left behind during or after the event.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Due to space limitations, we may not be able to exhibit all submitted artwork. Vista Art Foundation reserves the right to accept or decline any submission at its discretion. Artwork promoting white supremacy, hate, discrimination, violence, or dehumanization of any person or group will not be accepted. All artwork should align with the pro-democracy and community-centered spirit of The Vote Show.
