A new season means new finds at the State Street Farmers Market. Join us today, Wednesday, September 30, from 2:30-7 PM in downtown Carlsbad Village and see what’s fresh this week.
Persimmons are making their first appearance of the season at R&L Farms. Sweet, colorful, and unmistakably fall, they’re delicious on their own but also perfect sliced into salads, paired with cheese, added to a seasonal charcuterie board, or enjoyed with yogurt and granola.
While you’re here, there’s plenty more to bring home, including artichokes, romaine, red grapes, bok choy, carrots, and yardlong beans. It’s also the fifth and final wave of watermelon from JR Organics Farm, giving us a little taste of summer as the fall harvest begins to roll in.
Craving something cozy? Fall pies and brown butter pumpkin pecan shortbread have arrived, and Bakery Row will be filled with fresh breads, bagels, croissants, pastries, and more.
