Thank You For An Unforgettable Year!

How do you sum up an event-filled, transformative year in one short paragraph? It’s not possible. This year, the Carlsbad Village Association (CVA) hosted nearly 30 events and programs downtown, in addition to 52 consecutive weeks of the State Street Farmers Market! It was a busy year and one full of memorable moments, impactful events, and building wonderful relationships.

Through its event programming in 2022, CVA directly supported over 200 local and regional artists, 85 farmers market vendors, over 50 restaurants and beverage purveyors, 30 musicians, and hundreds of small businesses downtown. With the help of its member businesses and dedicated volunteers, CVA helped remove over 1,000 pounds of litter from downtown streets, and it purchased and gave away over $3,000 in gift cards to Carlsbad Village businesses to keep dollars local.

CVA could not have made the impact it did in 2022 without your support. On behalf of CVA’s staff, contractors, volunteers, and amazing all-volunteer board of directors, I would like to personally thank you for shopping, dining and playing local, and making the State Street Farmers Market a weekly priority. Our success is your success, and you help write our story.

We look forward to seeing you today and every Wednesday at the State Street Farmers Market (2:30-6:00pm), and in Carlsbad Village for all of your favorite events (and several news ones too) in 2023!

Wishing you and yours a very happy and healthy New Year!

Christine Davis, Executive Director
