The United States is facing a crisis. The US Constitution guarantees that registered voters are provided access to vote, but suddenly that fundamental right is in jeopardy.
We must ensure that every citizen is able to vote without driving 40 miles to some obscure location in San Diego.
The American Civil Liberties Union will be represented at the upcoming Oceanside Democratic Club virtual meeting. Jonathan Markovitz, ACLU attorney, will discuss their current approach to this man-made crisis.
Hosted by the Oceanside Democratic Club
Saturday, August 22nd, 10:00 am via Zoom
Several court actions are in process to stop illegal restrictions on voting. Mr. Markowitz will present an overview, and lead a Q&A session.
Carl Crider, Boardmember, ACLU-SD, will give a brief outline of local actions and introduce Mr. Markovitz.
All are invited and free Zoom registration can be completed here.
Attendance is limited.
