The Vista Chamber of Commerce held its monthly Business Bites luncheon at Fridas Taqueria, located at 1250 South Santa Fe Avenue. The informal gathering gave local businesses and community members an opportunity to enjoy lunch, make new connections, and learn more about one of Vista’s family-owned restaurants.
Fridas Taqueria began as a family dream shared by owners Grace and Roberto. They wanted to create an authentic Tijuana-style taqueria that would showcase their culture and the distinctive flavors of Mexican border cuisine. The family opened its first location in Escondido in 2017 and later expanded into other San Diego County communities. The Vista restaurant opened in February 2024.
The menu centers on Tijuana-style favorites, including tacos al pastor, carne asada and other meat selections. Guests can also choose from burritos, quesatacos, tortas, mulitas, carne asada fries, nachos and loaded baked potatoes served with vegetables, avocado and spicy salsa.
Beyond serving traditional Mexican food, Grace and Roberto have said they want Fridas Taqueria to be an active part of the Vista community by supporting local schools, churches, first responders and community organizations.
The Chamber’s Business Bites gathering provided the perfect setting for local professionals to share conversation, support a Vista restaurant and experience the flavors that have helped the Fridas Taqueria family grow from its beginnings in Escondido.
