OCEANSIDE, CA (NOVEMBER 6, 2025) – Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is proud to announce the highly anticipated 2025–26 Artist Alliance Biennial, a juried exhibition celebrating the abundant talent of OMA’s artist members. On view from November 22, 2025, through March 8, 2026, the exhibition showcases 53 juried artworks by 53 Artist Alliance members, reflecting the varied and growing artistic landscape of Southern California.

This year’s exhibition was juried by Chantel Paul (Gallery Director, San Diego State University Art Gallery), Patric Stillman (Founder, The Studio Door Gallery), and Katie Dolgov (Director of Exhibitions and Collections, OMA). Together, they reviewed 1,361 submissions by 260 artists, selecting 53 works in a wide range of mediums and perspectives.

“The OMA Artist Alliance Biennial is a powerful reflection of our vibrant creative community—an opportunity to showcase the range and vision of the artists who make this region such an inspiring place for contemporary art”, shares exhibition juror and Director of Exhibitions and Collections at OMA, Katie Dolgov. “The 2025–26 Artist Alliance Biennial provides a special platform for both up-and-coming and established regional artists to share their work with a wide and engaged audience.”

Juror Patric Stillman adds, “OMA’s Artist Alliance submissions revealed an inspiring range of creative diversity in style, content, and artist experience. It’s exciting to witness the region’s artists pushing boundaries while celebrating their authentic vision. In times of uncertainty and upheaval, artistic expression reminds us who we are and offers the clarity, courage, and connection we need most.”

As an artist, LGBTQ+ advocate, and founder of The Studio Door, Stillman has been instrumental in cultivating visibility and opportunity for artists across the region through exhibitions that merge creativity with social impact.

To round out the jury, Chantel Paul brings a strong curatorial background and keen eye for artistic talent ensuring a remarkable selection of artworks. “Jurying this exhibition was a wonderful opportunity to see really diverse work and learn about new artists,” reflects Paul. “Through this annual show, Oceanside Museum of Art supports a vital part of the visual art ecosystem and gives back to its member artists.” Formerly the Gallery Director at Morrison Hotel Gallery in La Jolla and Curator at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, Paul now leads the University Art Gallery at San Diego State University, where she continues to champion artists at all stages of their careers.

As one of OMA’s most varied exhibitions in medium, style, and form, the Artist Alliance Biennial showcases the breadth of regional talent, with the Grand Prize winner earning a solo exhibition at OMA. The Artist Alliance program itself is an affiliate membership group that fosters visibility, growth, and collaboration for artists throughout the region.
