The man found dead near a number of businesses in #Vista Sunday has been identified by family and a public candlelight vigil will be held in his honor.
Shortly after 1 PM Sunday, a passerby called authorities to report that they had come upon an adult male that was down behind a commercial structure in the 200 block of E Broadway. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene and has now been identified by family as 21-year-old Noah Benevento of #Oceanside.
Video submitted by a News Flash Media follower showed a parking lot behind the Dog Haus Restaurant surrounded by crime scene tape. Authorities initially deemed the death suspicious and summoned homicide detectives to the scene, but as of tonight were still awaiting results from the Medical Examiner’s Officer to determine an official cause of death.
“He was a good loving young man with a heart of gold, would help anyone who needed it”, a family member told News Flash Media. “He was a hard worker and had a good job with the union. A smile that would light up a room. He will be greatly missed by so many family and friends.” Noah was a graduate of #Vista High School and lived with his mother, stepfather and three siblings.
A candlelight vigil in Noah’s honor has been scheduled for 4:30 PM on Friday, January 12th at 227 E Broadway in #Vista. The public is encouraged to attend, his family says.
