On Sunday, November 1, 2026, at about 0104 hours, deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle. The collision occurred in the 1000 block of North Twin Oaks Valley Road, City of San Marcos. A 30-year-old motorcyclist was traveling northbound on North Twin Oaks Valley Road when he collided with the center median and was ejected from the motorcycle. Deputies and paramedics with the San Marcos Fire Department responded to the scene. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the collision. This investigation is on-going.
