OCEANSIDE, CA. — The Oceanside Police Department invites residents of all ages to join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Oceanside Police Department, 3855 Mission Avenue.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held on the first Tuesday in August that strengthens relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. The event provides an opportunity for residents to meet officers and professional staff, learn about public safety resources, and enjoy an evening of family-friendly activities in a welcoming environment.

This year’s celebration will feature a variety of attractions, including:

Food vendors
Community resource booths
Free games and activities
Raffles
Live music and performances
Police K-9 demonstrations
Police station tours
The popular Dunk-a-Cop dunk tank
To thank the community for attending, the first 400 attendees will receive free food vouchers while supplies last.

National Night Out has become America’s signature event promoting police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement. The Oceanside Police Department is proud to participate each year by bringing together residents, businesses, community organizations, and first responders for an evening that celebrates collaboration and public safety.

The event is free and open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.
